Tesamorelin

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone, the 44-residue hypothalamic peptide that acts at the GHRH receptor. The analogue carries a trans-3-hexenoyl group on its N-terminal tyrosine, a modification described in the literature as protecting the peptide from enzymatic cleavage and extending its stability relative to the native sequence.

It appears in endocrinology and receptor-pharmacology literature as a GHRH-receptor agonist used to study that signalling pathway. The molecular data table above lists the CAS number, formula and molar mass as recorded for the compound.
