Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide, sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, usually written TKPRPGP. The first four residues are tuftsin, a naturally occurring tetrapeptide fragment of an immunoglobulin heavy chain, and the Pro-Gly-Pro tail is a synthetic addition described in the literature as slowing enzymatic degradation.

CAS 129954-34-3, formula C33H57N11O9, molar mass 751.88 g/mol. It comes from the same Russian research lineage as Semax, and the two share that Pro-Gly-Pro stabilising strategy applied to different parent sequences.

Selank appears in neuropeptide and immunopeptide literature, most of it from the Russian groups where it was developed, and it is studied as a tuftsin analogue rather than as a hormone analogue.

Published studies have reported effects on GABAergic and serotonergic markers in rodent brain tissue, changes in expression of genes related to immune signalling, and outcomes in rodent anxiety-model behaviour tests.

The findings above come from animal, cell and in-vitro models rather than from controlled trials in people, and Selank is not an approved medicine in Canada. What we supply is a laboratory reagent, not for human or veterinary use.

Selank is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed glass vial. The label carries the compound name, the nominal mass in milligrams, our batch code and the research-use statement.

Vials ship unopened. Store as the label directs on arrival; the storage guide in the research library covers the general handling of lyophilized peptides. Bacteriostatic water is sold separately as a supply item and is not included unless your order lists it.

Each order records the batch that filled it, and the batch code is printed on the vial label. Where a third-party certificate of analysis exists for the production lot of Selank we received, it is linked in the certificate section above and on the lab results page.

Read those certificates for what they are: they were issued by the laboratory named on them to our supplier for that production lot, and our batch code is the internal receipt reference we assign, so it does not appear on the PDF. We do not currently commission testing in our own name, and product titles make no purity claim for lots without a certificate. The lab standards page explains the full position.

Every order is packed in Kitsilano, Vancouver and ships domestically. Nothing crosses a border, so there is no international transit and no customs hold.
