GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. The peptide itself is three residues, Gly-His-Lys, and the histidine imidazole together with the terminal amine and the peptide backbone give it a high affinity for copper, which is why it is handled as a defined copper complex rather than as a plain peptide. It is also catalogued as copper tripeptide-1.

The molecular data table above records CAS 89030-95-5, the formula C14H24N6O4Cu and a molar mass of 401.94 g/mol. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, and the literature commonly notes that measured plasma concentrations decline with age, which is part of why the molecule attracted research interest.

GHK-Cu appears in cell-signalling and copper-biochemistry literature, where it is studied both as a copper-delivery molecule and as a signalling peptide in its own right.

Published studies have reported changes in collagen and extracellular-matrix gene expression in fibroblast cultures, effects in dermal injury models in animals, and broad shifts in gene-expression profiling experiments on cultured cells. Its copper-binding constant and redox behaviour are characterised in the analytical literature.

The findings above come from animal, cell and in-vitro models rather than from controlled trials in people, and GHK-Cu is not an approved medicine in Canada. What we supply is a laboratory reagent, not for human or veterinary use.

The powder is characteristically blue from the coordinated copper, which is expected and not a sign of contamination.

Vials ship unopened. Store as the label directs on arrival; the storage guide in the research library covers the general handling of lyophilized peptides. Bacteriostatic water is sold separately as a supply item and is not included unless your order lists it.

GHK-Cu is stocked in the sizes listed above, including a multi-vial kit at the largest size. Larger nominal masses are priced lower per milligram and quantity discounts apply automatically on top of that.

Each order records the batch that filled it, and the batch code is printed on the vial label. Where a third-party certificate of analysis exists for the production lot of GHK-Cu we received, it is linked in the certificate section above and on the lab results page.

Read those certificates for what they are: they were issued by the laboratory named on them to our supplier for that production lot, and our batch code is the internal receipt reference we assign, so it does not appear on the PDF.
