BPC-157

BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide: fifteen amino acids in the sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV. That sequence corresponds to a partial sequence of a protein found in human gastric juice, which is where the name comes from, Body Protection Compound. It also appears in the older literature under the development code PL 14736.

The molecular data table above records CAS 137525-51-0, the formula C62H98N16O22 and a molar mass of 1419.53 g/mol. It is a short, unmodified linear peptide with no lipid chain and no cyclisation, which is why it is inexpensive to synthesise relative to the 39-residue incretin analogues.

BPC-157 is among the most frequently cited peptides in preclinical research, with most of the published work coming from rodent and cell-culture models rather than human subjects.

Published studies have reported effects in tendon, ligament and muscle tissue models, in gastric and intestinal mucosal injury models, and on angiogenesis in endothelial cell assays. A number of papers examine involvement of the nitric oxide system and of VEGF signalling as proposed mechanisms.

The findings above come from animal, cell and in-vitro models rather than from controlled trials in people, and BPC-157 is not an approved medicine in Canada. What we supply is a laboratory reagent, not for human or veterinary use.

Read those certificates for what they are: they were issued by the laboratory named on them to our supplier for that production lot, and our batch code is the internal receipt reference we assign, so it does not appear on the PDF.
